Claude Max 20x renamed Ultra: 5-hour limit removed for verified Ultra accounts; weekly limit 10x Pro

On 31 Oct 2026, Anthropic: Anthropic renamed Claude Max 5x to Max and Max 20x to Ultra. Prices did not change: Max is $100 a month and Ultra $200, both billed monthly only.
Anthropic also removed the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting with most existing subscribers; newer accounts keep a temporary 5-hour limit until they are verified. Anthropic says weekly limits did not change. claude.com/pricing now lists Max at 5x Pro usage every 5 hours and every week, and Ultra at 10x Pro usage every week, with $100 and $200 a month in Claude Platform API credits. PlanYield's rows had listed only the per-session multiples (5x and 20x Pro), so the weekly multiples are newly published, not a weekly limit change.
