GitHub Copilot AI Credits: how many you get and what they buy
Data as of · Last verified against vendor see each row · Page updated
Short answer (as of 16 Oct 2026): GitHub Copilot Pro is recorded as $10 per month for the seat and $15 per month of AI Credits, split as $10 base plus $5 flex. The seed says 1 credit equals $0.01, so $15 is 1,500 credits by PlanYield arithmetic. Pro+ is $39 and $70 of credits (7,000 by the same arithmetic). Max is $100 and $200 of credits (20,000). Completions on Pro are recorded as unlimited. Flex “may change over time” on the Max row. No moderated usage reports are published yet. This build did not re-fetch the GitHub docs page.

Key numbers
- Copilot Free is $0: 2,000 completions and 50 chat requests per month.
- Copilot Pro credit math: $15 / $0.01 = 1,500 credits. That is PlanYield arithmetic from the seed, labelled as such.
- Credits per seat dollar, same arithmetic: Pro 1,500 / $10 = 150, Pro+ 7,000 / $39 ≈ 179, Max 20,000 / $100 = 200.
- A 1 Jun 2026 secondary entry says premium requests were replaced by token-metered AI Credits.
- Overage is recorded at $0.01 per credit. There is no Business row in the seed, so this page does not invent one.

Premium requests
The 1 Jun 2026 change says premium requests were replaced by token-metered AI Credits. The current rows use the credit meter. This page does not keep a premium-request count, because the seed records the replacement, not a current premium-request allowance.
